Kyrgyzstan welcomes ceasefire agreement in Middle East

Bishkek, April 8, 2026 /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz Republic has welcomed the ceasefire agreement in the Middle East, as well as efforts by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other stakeholders to promote de-escalation and dialogue, the Foreign Ministry said.

“Kyrgyzstan consistently advocates resolving all disputes exclusively through political and diplomatic means, in accordance with the UN Charter and universally recognized norms of international law,” the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry also expressed hope for the achievement of sustainable and long-term peace in the region.
