Bishkek, Oct. 29, 2025 /Kabar/. The deposit base of Kyrgyzstan's banking sector increased by 25%, reaching 741 billion soms as of the end of August 2025, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank, Azat Kozubekov told at press conference in Bishkek.
According to him, the growth in deposits indicates increased confidence of the population and businesses in the banking system. Expecting that in the near future the inflationary dynamics in the Kyrgyz Republic will be primarily influenced by external factors, the National Bank will make appropriate decisions in the field of monetary policy. Taking into account the trends in economic development and the expectations of market participants, decisions on the discount rate will be made with particular caution, Kozubekov noted.
