Bishkek, Feb. 17, 2025. /Kabar/. According to the results of January 2025, the economy of Kyrgyzstan continued to grow at an accelerated pace. According to data of the Eurasian Development Bank, the increase in GDP in annual terms reached a double-digit value and amounted to 10.6%.
EDB analysts note that high consumer demand remains the main driver of growth. In January, domestic trade volumes increased by 39%. The service sector (excluding trade) gave an increase of 23%, and manufacturing industries + 13%.
EDB experts believe that during the year, the key indicators of the development of the economy of Kyrgyzstan will maintain positive dynamics. Economic growth in 2025 is projected at 8.7%.
In general, a positive picture is also observed in neighboring countries as well. In Belarus, Russia,Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, the economies are growing at rates that outpace the global average, while there is a tendency for inflation to decrease; its level will not exceed 4-5%. In the future, this figure may decrease even more.
