Kyrgyzstan's GDP for January–August totals 1,396.8 billion soms

Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2026 /Kabar/. According to preliminary estimates, Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product (GDP) for January–August 2026 amounted to 1,396.8 billion soms, an increase of 11.0% compared to the same period last year, the National Statistics Committee reported.

GDP growth was driven by goods-producing sectors, the service sector, and net taxes on products. Specifically, the growth rate for goods-producing sectors rose by 18.6% compared to January–August of the previous year, while the service sector grew by 6.3% and net taxes on products increased by 11.0%.

In the GDP structure, the service sector accounted for 49.2%—a decrease of 3.6 percentage points compared to January–August of the previous year—while the share of goods-producing sectors stood at 34.7%, an increase of 2.7 percentage points.

Within this context, the share of construction rose by 2.0 percentage points and industry by 1.2 percentage points compared to the same period last year, whereas the share of agriculture declined by 0.5 percentage points.
