Kyrgyzstan’s GDP in January amounted to 125.7 bln soms

Bishkek, Feb. 17, 2026 /Kabar/. According to preliminary estimates, the volume of gross domestic product (GDP) in Kyrgyzstan in January of this year amounted to 125.7 billion soms, the National Statistics Committee reported.

According to the information, this indicator increased by 9 percent compared to January 2025.

The growth of industrial production was ensured by an increase in production volumes in a number of sectors compared to January of last year. In particular, wood and paper products, as well as printing activities increased by 1.8 times, rubber and plastic products, construction materials by 1.7 times.

In addition, the volume of chemical products increased by 38.9 percent, the production of vehicles by 36.1 percent, and refined petroleum products by 21.1 percent. Also, food products (including beverages and tobacco products) increased by 13.6 percent, pharmaceutical products by 8.9 percent, and base metals by 6 percent.

The volume of mining also increased by 37.7 percent.
