Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2026. /Kabar/. Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services Nurdan Oruntaev and Kyrgyzstan Airports Chairman of the Board Manasbek Samidinov inspected the reconstruction work underway at Manas international airport.
According to the Ministry of Construction, the airport's infrastructure previously occupied an area of approximately 39 thousand square meters, but according to the project it is being expanded by 18 thousand square meters. In addition, a modern skywalk is being built.
The design of the airport will also be completely changed based on the national color. In addition, travelator and escalators will be installed, and according to the project, a waiting room with a height of 8.8 meters, a width of 15.5 meters, and a length of 255.5 meters is provided on the second floor.
It is worth noting that the reconstruction work is being supervised by the state enterprise "Kyrgyzkurulush" under the ministry and carried out by Avangard company. Department of Urban Planning and Architecture developed preliminary design of the airport.
