Meeting in Bishkek to strengthen political partnership, Georgian PM says

Bishkek, June 12, 2026 /Kabar/. Today, President Sadyr Zhaparov met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze at Yntymak Ordo Palace. The parties agreed to further develop cooperation between the two countries to a new level. A number of documents were signed during the meeting.

The head of the Georgian government noted that intensifying political dialogue and expanding economic ties between the two countries are important for both sides.

"Diplomatic cooperation between our countries has been ongoing for many years. This meeting opens up good opportunities and will contribute to strengthening comprehensive relations and political partnership. "We are ready to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in trade and economics, agriculture, tourism, culture, sports, the environment, and other areas of mutual interest," he emphasized.

Kobakhidze also congratulated Kyrgyzstan on its election to the UN Security Council and invited President Sadyr Zhaparov to pay an official visit to Georgia.

The head of state, in turn, accepted the invitation.
