Bishkek, April 29, 2026 /Kabar/. Africa is a priority direction for Kyrgyzstan. We will support each other with them, within the framework of international organizations, Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev told at the meeting of Kyrgyzstan and Togo.

According to him, the time has come for cooperation with African countries.

"In March, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ghana paid an official visit. Today, the Prime Minister of Togo is coming. Now, in May, a number of delegations from African countries are expected to arrive.

Africa is a priority for us. We support each other in the context of international organizations. Most importantly, I believe that cooperation and diversification with these countries is very important in the context of conflicts and crises in the world. Therefore, we will continue our cooperation.

As part of today's meeting, 8 documents were signed, covering political, practical, health, education, culture, and, of course, the visa regime.

Therefore, I believe that these important documents will gradually begin to be implemented. Because they have a great future.

In addition, today we talked about intermediate routes. Accordingly, we will make efforts to establish air routes and build logistics centers in the future," the minister said.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Togo, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe, paid an official visit to Kyrgyzstan. This is the first official visit by head of Togolese government to Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, 8 agreements were signed between the two countries.
