Bishkek, Feb. 4, 2026 /Kabar/. The B5+1 format represents a new stage of regional cooperation in which business plays a central role in economic transformation, Kyrgyz Minister of Economy Bakyt Sydykov said at a press conference.

He noted that business today is not merely a participant in economic processes but a full co-author of reforms. According to Sydykov, the B5+1 format gives Central Asian entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to directly present practical proposals to governments and international partners.

The minister highlighted three key aspects of the B5+1 forum for Kyrgyzstan: strengthening regional cooperation, improving the business climate, and expanding international partnerships. He stressed that coordinated approaches in logistics, trade, energy, and digital solutions are increasingly important as Central Asian economies become more interconnected.

Sydykov added that active U.S. participation and engagement with regional business communities enhance investor confidence and create new opportunities for trade, investment, and technology transfer.

“The main message of the forum is clear: Central Asia is a region of cooperation, reform, and growing opportunities for international business,” he concluded.

The B5+1 Business Forum has started its work in Bishkek on Wednesday and will last for two days. The first day of the forum will feature a panel discussion on mineral resources, as well as sessions on agriculture, tourism, finance and banking in the format of public-private dialogue.
