Bishkek, March 24, 2026. /Kabar/. Natural Resources Minister Akyl Toktobayev conducted a working visit to the Osh oblast, where he focused on biodiversity conservation, the development of natural parks, and environmental safety. Ministry reports.
During the visit, the minister visited the Kara-Shoro and Kulun-Ata state natural parks, where he learned about projects being implemented with World Bank support. These initiatives are aimed at protecting ecosystems and developing the region's ecological potential. He also visited the Kulun-Ata Park museum, which displays scientific research and rare exhibits.
The minister emphasized the importance of the work of environmental protection officials and instructed them to promptly address a number of issues identified on the ground.
Special attention was paid to the inspection of the Ilong Osh coal processing plant in the Uzgen district. The minister emphasized the need for strict adherence to environmental and safety standards.
The minister also inspected the construction of the wastewater treatment plant together with the district akim, Kanybek Apbasov. It was noted that this facility is crucial for improving sanitary conditions and the quality of life of the population.
