Kyrgyz foreign minister receives special envoy of FM of Republic of Korea

Bishkek, Nov. 24, 2025. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev received Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Lee Wook-heon, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on current issues of the bilateral and multilateral agenda, including cooperation within the framework of the “Central Asia + Republic of Korea” Dialogue Platform.

Minister Kulubaev emphasized the importance of further deepening political dialogue and practical cooperation. In this context, he underscored that the implementation of joint projects and the agreements reached following President Sadyr Zhaparov’s visit to the Republic of Korea in December 2024 would contribute to strengthening ties between the two countries.

For his part, Special Envoy Lee Wook-heon reaffirmed the Korean side’s interest in further developing Kyrgyz-Korean relations in all areas of mutual interest.

The parties also held detailed discussions on plans for joint foreign policy activities for the coming year, with particular attention given to the organization of high-level and top-level reciprocal visits.
