Bishkek, Jan. 23, 2026. /Kabar/. On January 22, Deputy Minister of Finance U. Kalenderov met with World Bank Regional Procurement Manager F. Goya at the Ministry of Finance.
According to the ministry, the parties discussed the progress of modernizing the public procurement system, including measures to increase the transparency, efficiency, and competitiveness of procedures.
Kalenderov emphasized that Ministry of Finance continues to improve procurement methodology, strengthen institutional capacity, and develop digital tools to increase process transparency.
Goya noted Kyrgyzstan's progress and confirmed the World Bank's readiness to provide further expert support, including support for activities outlined in the reform roadmap.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue coordinating actions and exchanging information to successfully advance public procurement reforms.
