Bishkek, June 22, 2026. /Kabar/. The department of plant chemization, protection and quarantine has opened an agrochemical laboratory for determining soil quality in Issyk-Kul region.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, this laboratory will provide farmers with the opportunity to determine the state of the soil on a scientific basis.

The laboratory will determine the main nutrients in the soil, organic matter, acidity level and other indicators that affect plant growth.

"Based on the results of the analysis, farmers will have the opportunity to use fertilizers on a scientific basis, reduce costs, increase yields, and use land resources more efficiently," the report says.

As noted, the launch of the laboratory is an important step aimed at ensuring the country's food security, increasing the efficiency of agricultural production, and improving the quality of state services provided to farmers.
