According to him, as of January 1, 2026, this figure stood at 472,336. He noted that the increase in the number of Kyrgyz citizens in Russia is traditionally associated with seasonal increase in labor migration in spring.

Baibosov also cited other statistics for previous years: in 2024, there were 656,304 Kyrgyz citizens in Russia, 408,448 in 2023, and 587,089 in 2022.

He also reported that 268,460 Kyrgyz citizens are registered with the migration authorities (as of January 1). There are 9,757 students (as of June 30, 2025), 598 detainees (as of January 1, 2026), and 1,126 convicted persons (as of January 1, 2026).

Furthermore, 91,566 citizens are blacklisted (as of September 10, 2025). According to him, 6,271 Kyrgyz citizens were deported in 2025. The registry of persons subject to verification (as of May 12, 2026) includes 90,721 individuals. It is updated every six hours and is a "live" database that is constantly changing.

Baibosov noted that Kyrgyz citizens in Russia must closely monitor changes in migration legislation and promptly complete their documents to avoid being included in the relevant registries.

He also reported that the number of convicted persons is 1,126, and their number is decreasing annually.

"This is due to the fact that, under the agreement between the Prosecutor General's Office of Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, convicted citizens are repatriated to their homeland." "Thus, 33 people were repatriated in 2022, 74 in 2023, 117 in 2024, 232 in 2025, and 156 citizens as of May 21, 2026".

Note that, starting June 30, mandatory registration via the ruID mobile app will be introduced in Russia. Citizens traveling to Russia for work or study will be required to complete a form in the system in advance. The app is available in the App Store, Play Market, RuStore, and AppGallery.
