Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2025. /Kabar/. On November 10, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan conducted its largest foreign exchange intervention since the beginning of the year, selling $173.9 million on the interbank foreign exchange market.
According to the Bank, $65.3 million of this amount was sold with settlement on the day of the transaction, and $108.6 million was sold with settlement on different date.
Including today's transaction, the National Bank has conducted six foreign exchange interventions since the beginning of 2025, selling a total of $590.5 million.
Foreign exchange interventions are carried out to smooth out excessive fluctuations in the som exchange rate and maintain stability in the domestic foreign exchange market.
