Bishkek, Oct 2.2025 /Kabar/. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic intervened in the foreign exchange market on October 1, selling 38 million USD.
Bank has already sold foreign currency in the market five times:
January 13 – USD 79 million sold;
April 29 – USD 158.3 million sold;
May 26 – USD 59.8 million sold;
September 15 – USD 81.5 million sold;
October 1 – USD 38 million sold.
However, the National Bank has not conducted any reverse interventions – currency purchases on the market – in 2025.
The purpose of currency interventions is to maintain the stability of the national currency exchange rate in the interests of the state.
