Bishkek, March 12, 2026 /Kabar/. On March 11-13, a republican command-staff exercise entitled “Action of Civil Defense Bodies and Forces in the Event of an Emergency Situation and Its Registration” is being held in Batken region with the participation of Civil Defense management bodies, Ministry of Emergency Situations informs.
According to the information, the event was organized on the basis of the 2026 preparedness plan. As Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Azamat Mambetov noted, unstable weather and heavy rainfall increase the water level in rivers, creating a threat of natural disasters such as mudslides, floods, avalanches, landslides and rockfalls.
Therefore, the ongoing exercises will greatly help to strengthen interdepartmental cooperation in preventing emergency situations and eliminating their consequences. The event is aimed at strengthening the coordinated work of state bodies, making quick decisions, saving the lives of citizens and reducing material costs.
