Bishkek, Oct. 22, 2025 /Kabar/. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan reported unprecedented profit growth for the first nine months of 2025.
According to the regulator's published financial report, net profit amounted to 33.2 billion soms, almost 13 times higher than the same period last year. The main contributors to the profit growth were operations with foreign currency assets and gold revaluation. Reserves in these areas nearly tripled to 182 billion soms, the largest increase in recent years.
National Bank's overall financial position has significantly strengthened. Total capital reached 227.9 billion soms, and total assets and liabilities exceeded 798 billion soms. According to the Bank, as of the end of the third quarter of 2025, the volume of banknotes and coins in circulation amounted to 290 billion soms, 55 billion soms more than the previous year.
