Bishkek, Jan. 29, 2026. /Kabar/. The Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) approved in three readings a bill on the mutual provision of buildings and land in Bishkek and Astana for the free use of the embassies of the two countries between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
Deputy Foreign Minister Almaz Imangaziev reported that the bill proposes to legally formalize the agreement.
"The Kazakh side is providing a land plot in Astana for 49 years, free of charge, where the new Kyrgyz embassy is planned to be built, along with a building with a total area of 1,267,000 square meters and a 12-hectare plot. We, in turn, have donated a 75-hectare plot along Chyngyz Aitmatov Avenue in Bishkek, where the Kazakh embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic is located, as well as a 531-hectare cottage in the Ala-Archa residential complex," he said.
