New modern fishery complex opened in Kyrgyzstan’s Alamedin

Bishkek, March 24, 2025. /Kabar /. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev took part in the opening ceremony of the new modern fishery complex "Salih Aqua" in the village of Grozd, Alamudun district, Chui region, and also got acquainted with its activities, the press service of theAgriculture Ministry reported.

The total cost of the project was 576 thousand US dollars, and it was financed by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.

The complex is designed for the incubation of trout and sturgeon eggs and is capable of producing 1 million fry in one incubation cycle.

"The implementation of this project will create conditions for providing farmers with fry and developing aquaculture in the country. This situation can provide for the domestic demand for fish and even contribute to an increase in export volumes,” Torobaev said at the opening.

As part of his working visit, he also got acquainted with the activities of the Mitrofanovka fish farm in the village of Lenin in the Alamudun district. The Department of Fisheries provided this farm with 4 hectares of land for 10 years.

The total investment in the project amounted to 83.7 million soms. The complex is equipped with an oxygen station and is capable of producing 3 million fry per year. Within the framework of these projects, 150 jobs have been created.
