Bishkek, Nov. 4, 2026 /Kabar/. The construction of a new wastewater treatment plant is underway in Naryn. As of today, the project is 30% complete, according to the Naryn City Hall.

The construction is being carried out as part of the second phase of the "Rehabilitation of Water Supply and Sewerage Systems in Naryn City" project.
The new treatment plant is designed to serve 20,000 people. Wastewater will undergo three stages of purification: mechanical, biological, and chemical.
Furthermore, residents in the eastern and western parts of the city are now able to connect to the newly constructed sewer networks. Additionally, sewage pumping stations have been built in these two districts.
