Parliamentary dialogue on China-Central Asia discussed in Beijing

Bishkek, June 22, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, deputies of Jogorku Kenesh participated in a seminar for parliamentarians of Central Asian countries in Beijing, China, on the topic "The role of legislative bodies in developing the China-Central Asia spirit."

As reported by the parliament, during the seminar, the participants discussed issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, deepening ties in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other areas, as well as the role of legislative bodies in promoting initiatives and agreements reached in the "China-Central Asia" format.

As part of the visit, the delegation of Jogorku Kenesh met with Shokhrat Zakir, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China.

The parties exchanged views on topical issues of Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation, noted the importance of further strengthening interparliamentary ties, as well as implementing joint projects of mutual interest.

As a result of the meeting, they expressed their interest in further developing a constructive dialogue between the legislative bodies of Kyrgyzstan and China and expanding cooperation.
