He explained the given law: there are also other laws regarding pensions. For example, the increase does not apply for employees of law enforcement agencies. They receive pensions under other laws. The number of pensioners as of October 1 is expected to be approximately 818,000; by September 1, this number was approximately 814,000. Compared to previous years, this number has increased. In the 2010s, their number was approximately 530,000. Recipients of this pension include the elderly, the disabled, those without a provider, and others, he said.
Mukanbetov added that pensioners receiving over 50,000 soms (including the insurance portion) will receive a 10% increase.
If last year a pensioner received 6,900 soms, the minimum increase will be 600 soms. This means they will receive 7,500 soms (including the insurance portion) starting from October 1. Last year, according to a presidential decree, the minimum pension was raised to the subsistence level, he noted.
