Power grid modernization continues in Issyk Kul region

Bishkek, Oct 3.2025 /Kabar/. Active work to improve the quality of electricity supply to consumers continues in Issyk-Kul region.

According to the Ministry of Energy, the following work has been completed since the beginning of 2025:

  • 1 km of 10 kV power transmission line and two complete transformer substations with a capacity of 1000 kVA and 630 kVA were installed in Chyrpykty village;
  • 2 km of self-supporting insulated wire were installed in Kok-Moinok village;
  • 5 km of 10 kV power transmission line was laid, and two transformer substations were installed in Tilekmat village;
  • 1 km of 10 kV overhead power line was constructed, a transformer substation was relocated, and 400 meters of 0.4 kV overhead power line were reconstructed at Altyn Logistika facility.
  • 2 km of self-supporting insulated wire were installed in Oy-Tal village.
  • 1.8 km of self-supporting insulated wire were installed in Kurmenty village,
  • 200 meters of 10 kV overhead power line and 2 km of self-supporting insulated wire were constructed in Chon Zhargylchak village.

As part of the above-mentioned work, 268 new reinforced concrete supports were installed.

These measures are aimed at increasing the reliability of the power supply, reducing network losses, improving power quality, and ensuring a stable power supply for both residential and industrial consumers.

The construction and installation site of the Issyk-Kul electric grid company will continue to implement the planned work as part of the program to improve energy efficiency and modernize the electrical grid.
