Bishkek, Jan. 15, 2026. /Kabar/. On January 14, as part of events marking the 110th anniversary of the birth of Kyrgyz People's Poet Alykul Osmonov, the first copies of a collection of poetry in Hungarian were presented at the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Hungary.
According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this literary project was implemented by renowned Hungarian Turkologist Somfai Kara David, with the assistance of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Hungary, and aims to popularize Kyrgyz classical poetry and strengthen cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.
The translations include Alykul Osmonov's most significant works, reflecting the depth of his philosophical thought, humanistic values, and the national character of the Kyrgyz people.
It is noted that the initiative's main sponsor, renowned lawyer and philanthropist F. Papchak, played a special role in the project's implementation.
