Bishkek, Aug. 22, 2025 /Kabar/. At the seventh meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council in "Yntymak Ordo" in Bishkek, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the purpose of his visit is to strengthen Kazakh-Kyrgyz relations, further develop and deepen cooperation.

Speech of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

"Dear Sadyr Nurgozhoevich!

On behalf of the people and state of Kazakhstan, I would like to express my deep gratitude to you and the entire fraternal Kyrgyz people for the warm welcome.

The purpose of my visit is to strengthen Kazakh-Kyrgyz relations, further develop and deepen our cooperation. In this regard, I would like to express special gratitude to you, dear Sadyr Nurgozhoevich, for the invitation to visit fraternal Kyrgyzstan.

We attach particular importance to political dialogue at the highest level and strive to bring our cooperation to a qualitatively new level. Our peoples have flowed side by side since ancient times, like two sacred rivers, having a common destiny and fraternal ties. Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have always supported each other in both happy and difficult times. The unbreakable friendship of our ancestors has become a spiritual heritage that is passed down from generation to generation.

Today, relations between our countries are based on trust, mutual respect and good neighborliness. Kyrgyzstan is one of Kazakhstan's key strategic partners in the region. The volume of bilateral trade has reached almost $2 billion, and we have every opportunity to increase it. Joint investment projects are being successfully implemented, especially in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Cultural and humanitarian ties are also strengthening. Last year, the Treaty on Allied Relations was signed, and today we are adopting a comprehensive cooperation plan. I am confident that these steps will give new impetus to the development of Kazakh-Kyrgyz relations.

Kazakhstan is ready to continue close cooperation with Kyrgyzstan within the framework of regional and international organizations, including the CSTO. We intend to further strengthen our strategic partnership and comprehensive cooperation.

I am confident that the implementation of our joint agreements will ensure further growth of the political, economic and cultural potential of our countries, and will also make a significant contribution to the stability and prosperity of the entire region."
