President Sadyr Zhaparov wraps up official visit to Malaysia

Bishkek, June 26, 2025. /Kabar/. The official visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov to Malaysia, which took place on June 24-25, has ended.

During the visit President Sadyr ZhJaparov held talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Putrajaya.

The parties discussed current issues and prospects for further development of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Malaysia in the political, trade and economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres of mutual interest.

Thus, following the talks between President Sadyr Zhaparov and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, a joint statement was signed between the Kyrgyz Republic and Malaysia on strengthening cooperation in the direction of strategic partnership for future prosperity and a number of documents aimed at further deepening bilateral relations.

In addition, President Sadyr Zhaparov made a statement to the media following the talks with the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Then President Sadyr Zhaparov met with Chairman of the Senate (upper house) of Malaysia Awang Bemi Awang Ali Basah and the Speaker of the House of Representatives (lower house) of the Malaysian Parliament Johari bin Abdul in Kuala Lumpur.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on current issues of cooperation, including the development of inter-parliamentary relations.

The head of state also held a meeting with representatives of Malaysian business circles. The meeting was attended by representatives of more than 50 large Malaysian companies, as well as relevant ministries and departments.

There, in the presence of the President, a number of other documents were signed.

President Sadyr Zhaparov, having completed his official visit to Malaysia, returned to Bishkek on June 25.
