Bishkek, Dec. 10, 2025. /Kabar/. Today, December 10, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov congratulated the people of Kyrgyzstan on Human Rights Day.

Text of congratulatory message:

"Dear compatriots!

Dear people of Kyrgyzstan!

I congratulate you on Human Rights Day, which is celebrated on the day of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

This document, approved by the United Nations General Assembly on December 10, 1948, became the solid foundation of the modern system of human rights and freedoms, proclaiming the rights, freedoms, and dignity of every person as the highest value.

For the Kyrgyz people, who have long revered justice, freedom, honor, and dignity, the principles of the declaration resonate with our traditions. It is not without reason that our ancestors said: "To lose one's honor and dignity is to lose one's human name."

Having joined the UN in 1992, our country recognizes and supports universal human rights norms. Today, these values, inherited from our ancestors, are clearly enshrined in our Constitution and national legislation. They form the core of the legal system and underpin public policy as a whole, defining the meaning and content of the activities of all government bodies, local governments, and their officials.

We attach particular importance to protecting citizens' rights, strengthening judicial institutions, developing democratic processes, and ensuring access to quality education, healthcare, and social services. The state consistently implements measures to ensure equal opportunities, combat discrimination, and protect women, children, and vulnerable groups.

At the same time, human rights and freedoms are not only the rule of law, but also a culture of mutual respect, the responsibility of each of us for our actions, and the desire for creativity and mutual support. Only through the joint efforts of the state, society, and family can we build a strong, just, and prosperous Kyrgyzstan.

Dear contemporaries!

On this significant day, I call on my compatriots to maintain respect for human honor, dignity, diversity of opinion, and the cultural and spiritual values of our people. The protection of human rights and the recognition and respectful treatment of every member of society, regardless of their social or other status, are the primary contribution to the country's sustainable development, its security, and the future of our children.

I sincerely wish every Kyrgyzstani good health, peace, prosperity, and confidence in the future.

May justice, mutual respect, unity, and harmony always reign in our society!
