Bishkek, June 17, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov called on citizens to invest in government securities (G-Secs), emphasizing that this will not only improve their personal financial situation but also contribute to the country's development.
The head of state shares on his social media page.
"Dear compatriots!
Today, I am launching an important initiative that will allow every citizen to improve their financial situation and simultaneously contribute to the development of Kyrgyzstan.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has issued government securities with a 17 percent annual yield for the population. Now, every citizen can purchase them through a mobile app.
Specifically, government securities can be easily purchased online through the MegaPay mobile app.
In other words, citizens no longer need to visit financial institutions, waste time, or fill out various documents – they can invest quickly and conveniently online.
Invested funds will be fully repaid within two years. Citizens will receive an annual interest rate of 17 percent. Interest payments are made every three months, that is, quarterly.
For example, if a citizen purchases government securities worth 100,000 soms, they will receive 34,000 soms in interest over two years. These funds will be paid quarterly in increments of 4,250 soms. Thus, after two years, the initial investment of 100,000 soms will have turned into 134,000 soms.
It should be noted that the yield on government securities exceeds the yield on most bank deposits.
A resale option for government securities will be implemented soon.
Government securities of Kyrgyzstan are one of the most reliable investment instruments, as they are guaranteed by the state.
In this regard, I call on every citizen to support this initiative and actively participate in it," the president's statement says.
