Bishkek, Feb. 6, 2025 /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji as part of a state visit to China.
The press service of the head of state said that the sides discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as prospects for joint initiatives in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres.
Zhao Leji noted that relations between the countries have reached a historically high level, cooperation in all areas has achieved fruitful results.
"In recent years, you have been implementing a transformation and a new policy in the country, leading the people of Kyrgyzstan in economic development and improving the well-being of the population, for which the Chinese side expresses sincere joy. We are confident that under your strong leadership, Kyrgyzstan will enjoy peace, stability, development and prosperity,” said the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China.
During the conversation, President Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized the importance of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations based on centuries-old traditions of good neighborliness, mutual assistance and cooperation.
The head of state especially noted China’s successes in innovation, artificial intelligence, renewable energy and IT technologies. He emphasized the importance of exchanging experience in public administration and emphasized that the parliaments of the two countries can play a key role in expanding bilateral cooperation.
President Sadyr Zhaparov also expressed support for China’s initiatives in the field of global development, security and civilization, noting their contribution to sustainable development and stability in the world. He emphasized China’s leading role in the fight against climate change and the transition to a carbon-neutral economy, which serves as an example for the world community.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the Kyrgyz-Chinese strategic partnership, emphasizing the importance of mutual trust, respect and joint efforts for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
