Bishkek, April 28, 2026 /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov received the defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, who arrived to participate in the Defense Ministers' Meeting, presidential administration reports.
The head of state noted that Kyrgyzstan, as the current SCO chair, attaches particular importance to developing practical cooperation in the defense sector, including conducting joint exercises, exchanging experience, and strengthening coordination between defense ministries.
The president expressed confidence that the agreements reached at the Defense Ministers' Meeting will contribute to the further strengthening of defense cooperation and overall security within the SCO region.
