Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received Japanese Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Hideki Goda on November 11, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission. The head of state noted the ambassador's fruitful work and emphasized that Japan is a reliable and long-term partner for Kyrgyzstan on the path to sustainable development. President noted that, as part of cooperation with the Japanese government, a number of important projects aimed at the country's socioeconomic development are being implemented in Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized that these initiatives are making a significant contribution to improving the well-being of citizens and strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
During the conversation, President Sadyr Zhaparov noted with satisfaction the increase in the number of tourists from Japan in recent years, emphasizing that this is the result of Ambassador Hideki Goda's efforts to strengthen bilateral ties and promote Kyrgyzstan's tourism potential in Japan.
In turn, Hideki Goda expressed deep gratitude to the head of state for the attention, support, and warm welcome extended to him during his diplomatic mission in Kyrgyzstan. He noted that in recent years, Kyrgyz-Japanese cooperation has reached a new level, particularly following the Kyrgyz president's official visit to Japan, which gave additional impetus to the development of bilateral relations and the strengthening of mutual understanding between the two countries.
The ambassador also spoke about the growing tourist flow from Japan to Kyrgyzstan. He recalled that in 2023, during his visit to Tokyo, President Sadyr Zhaparov met with representatives of the JATA Tour Operators Association, which promoted Kyrgyzstan as an attractive tourist destination for Japanese citizens.
Hideki Goda emphasized that Japan views Kyrgyzstan as an important partner in the region and intends to continue to promote cooperation in the political, economic, humanitarian, and cultural spheres.
