Bishkek, May 8, 2026 /Kabar/. On May 7, President Sadyr Zhaparov attended a ceremony in Cholpon-Ata to mark the 60th anniversary of the Blue Issyk-Kul Sanatorium and the opening of its new building. This was reported by the presidential press service.
According to the press service, the head of state inspected the new three-story building, designed for 97 patients, and familiarized himself with the resort's updated infrastructure, including the swimming pool and thermal springs. He also planted a tree.
During the ceremony, the president delivered a speech, noting the priority importance of developing tourism and the resort industry. He emphasized Kyrgyzstan's unique natural potential, which must be effectively utilized to improve public health and grow the economy.
