Bishkek, Nov. 20, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received today Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov.
The meeting discussed key issues related to the implementation of the priorities of Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in the Organization, the state of regional security, the development of cooperation in countering modern threats, and the upcoming meeting of the Collective Security Council in Bishkek.
President Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan's participation in the CSTO remains a key foreign policy priority for the country. He noted Kyrgyzstan's continued contribution to strengthening the collective security mechanism.
CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov praised the Kyrgyz Republic's chairmanship in the Organization, noting that the action plan had been successfully and fully implemented.
He particularly noted the importance of the first International Conference on Cybersecurity, held at the initiative of Kyrgyzstan, which made a significant contribution to strengthening the collective capacity of participating states to counter modern challenges and threats.
The Secretary General also confirmed that preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Collective Security Council in Bishkek are proceeding as planned and at a high organizational level. At the conclusion of the meeting, President Sadyr Zhaparov, in recognition of Imangali Tasmagambetov's achievements and significant contribution to strengthening security and friendship between the two countries, awarded him the Kyrgyz Republic's state award, the Order of Dostuk.
