Bishkek, June 4, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov signed a decree "On the development of interregional student mobility in the Kyrgyz Republic."
The document was adopted to ensure the right of Kyrgyz citizens to receive an accessible and high-quality education regardless of their social and economic status, to strengthen human resources, and to ensure the balanced development of educational opportunities in all regions of the country.
According to the decree, the development of interregional student mobility in Kyrgyzstan is one of the priority areas of state policy.
Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan shall develop and approve Program for Interregional Student Mobility.
Program to provide:
– distribution of state educational grant quotas, taking into account regional balance;
- provision scholarships to students participating in the Interregional Student Mobility Program;
- providing students with domestic air transportation;
- phased and systematic construction of dormitories designed to accommodate at least 9,000 students, in accordance with the terms of the Interregional Student Mobility Program, as needed and subject to the disbursement of funds;
- providing dormitories with sports grounds, cafeterias, training centers, and other necessary infrastructure.
