Bishkek, Nov. 3, 2025. /Kabar/. During his working visit to Issyk-Kul region, President Sadyr Zhaparov visited the Karakol state nature park and learned about the park's activities and the ongoing infrastructure improvements.
According to Kanybek Tumanbayev, head of the Presidential Administration , a new eco-post has been installed at the entrance to the park. Its main purpose is to ensure environmental safety, prevent pollution, and prevent the illegal use of natural resources. According to him, a fee of 200 soms is imposed for passenger cars, and up to 800 soms for trucks and passenger vehicles.
According to Order No. 334 of December 28, 2024, Karakol state nature park has been transferred to the jurisdiction of the Presidential Administration. The park's total area is 38,256 hectares, of which 24,187 hectares are designated as protected areas.
As Kanybek Tumanbayev noted, the park's revenues in 2024 amounted to 7.87 million soms, and by the end of the first nine months of 2025, they had already reached 18.5 million soms. The majority of these revenues come from tourism, land and pasture leases, and forestry activities. Infrastructure development work continues. Our goal is to transform the Karakol nature park into a modern ecozone with a high level of service and environmental awareness, he emphasized.
