Bishkek, Aug. 22, 2025 /Kabar/. Today, August 22, the official meeting ceremony of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who arrived in the country on a state visit, took place in Bishkek.
The national flags of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan were hung on the flagpoles of the Yntymak Ordo presidential administration, an honor guard was lined up, and carpets were laid out.
The presidents greeted each other, the national anthems of the two countries were played. After the report of the commander of the Honor Guard company, the heads of state walked around the formation.
As part of the visit, the heads of state will hold bilateral talks in a narrow format and the seventh regular meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council.
The parties will also discuss current issues of bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, as well as prospects for the development of Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations.
In addition, during the visit, it is planned to hold an official opening ceremony of the Golden Bridge of Friendship monument in the Yntymak Park with the participation of the leaders of the two countries.
A number of events are timed to coincide with the visit, including the official opening ceremony of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Osh, the opening of a branch of the Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Osh.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Bishkek on August 21.
