Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2025. /Kabar/. "Russia is Kyrgyzstan's leading trade and economic partner. Last year, trade increased by 13.6% to a record $4.1 billion," Russian President Vladimir Putin said during his state visit to Kyrgyzstan.
He emphasized that between January and September of this year, trade between the countries increased by another 17%.
"Already about 97% of all payments are made in national currencies. We are exploring new options for organizing mutual settlements. Russian investment is also growing, having already reached almost $2 billion," the Russian president said. Putin reported that 1,700 enterprises with Russian participation operate in Kyrgyzstan.
"I would like to note that this level of confidence on the part of Russian investors in cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and in investing their capital in the Kyrgyz economy is due to your efforts and the positive dynamics of domestic policy," the Russian leader noted.
Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a state visit on November 25. During the visit, the leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Russia will discuss current issues and further strengthening cooperation in the spirit of strategic partnership today, November 26.
The signing of a number of bilateral documents is also planned.
