Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2025. /Kabar/. Russia supplies Kyrgyz consumers with electricity, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced today following talks with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov in Bishkek.
He said that a Russian company is participating in the design and modernization of hydro power plants on Kyrgyz rivers.
"We plan to jointly build a large solar power plant in the Issyk-Kul region, and a new modern thermal power plant in northern Kyrgyzstan," Putin said.
The Russian leader arrived in Kyrgyzstan yesterday on a state visit. During the meeting, economic cooperation, trade, and prospects for collaboration were discussed, and a number of bilateral documents were signed.
