Bishkek, Nov. 30, 2025. /Kabar/. On November 29, the resettlement of residents of Leilek region of Batken oblast, subject to the Kyrgyz-Tajik border delimitation agreement, was completed. The regional administration reported this.
The state built 76 new residential buildings for the resettled residents:
— 60 houses in Razzakov village, Leilek district;
— 16 houses in Maksat village.
Residents of Nurmatov and Janybaev streets in Razzakov village, the Sada section, and residents of Maksat village were resettled to new stabling. These territories are subject to exchange for land in the villages of Khistevraz and Madaniyat, Gafurov and Rasulov districts of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Aibek Shamenov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Batken oblast, visited the new settlements and inspected the residents' living conditions. He noted that infrastructure work will be completed soon, after which all new homes will be provided with the necessary conditions. Support for the resettled residents will continue.
Resettlement had previously also been carried out for residents of the villages of Dostuk, Dobo, and Tash-Tumshuk, as well as the Kok-Terek, Mazeit, and Teskei sections. A new settlement, Zhany Dostuk, comprising 181 residential buildings, was built for them on the Chet-Bulak section of the village of Buzhum.
All of these territories were exchanged for lands in the villages of Somoniyon and Kojo-Alo, Chorku jamoat, Isfara district, Tajikistan, in accordance with interstate border delimitation agreements.
