Russian consul general in Osh presents consular patent to Kyrgyz deputy FM

Bishkek, Jan. 21, 2026. /Kabar/. Deputy Foreign Minister Almaz Imangaziev met on Tuesday with newly appointed Consul General of Russia in Osh, Roman Svistin.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, the consul general presented Imangaziev with the original consular patent.

The parties discussed a wide range of current issues of Kyrgyz-Russian consular cooperation, including the implementation of the initiative to establish a Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Sochi. Particular attention was paid to issues of operational cooperation between competent authorities to ensure the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of both countries.

At the end of the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of further deepening cooperation and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to intensifying and strengthening consular cooperation.
