Bishkek, Feb.12, 2026. /Kabar/. 379 investment projects are being implemented in Jalal-Abad region with the support of Russia, Jalal-Abad governor Tilek Tekebaev announced during the meeting with the Consul General of Russia Roman Svistin.
According to the oblast administration, at the meeting, the head of the region noted that cooperation with Russia is a priority area and reported that stable ties have been established between Jalal-Abad region and a number of Russian regions.
The representative noted that according to the results of 2025, the trade turnover of Jalal-Abad region with Russia exceeded $27 million. He also noted that 379 investment projects have been implemented in the region with the support of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, a total of more than $34 million has been allocated.
These include the Kainama small hydroelectric power plant in Toktogul district, a fish processing plant in Kara-Kul city, the construction of the Zhenish recreation park in Manas city, a fruit and vegetable processing plant in Ala-Buka district, and school construction in the education sector.
