Sadyr Zhaparov and Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe visit ethnic program at Ala-Archa

Bishkek, April 29, 2026. /Kabar/. On April 28, President Sadyr Zhaparov and Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Togolese Republic Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé attended an ethnocultural program organized at the Ala-Archa State Nature Park.

According to the press service of the presidential administration, the guests were greeted by improvising akyns (poem performers) and baatyrs (heroes) in traditional national armor.

As part of the event, the Togolese delegation was presented at the Kyrgyz Village exhibition complex, showcasing the rich material and spiritual heritage of the Kyrgyz people.

Handicrafts and jewelry, traditional musical instruments, examples of combat and hunting weapons, and nomadic household items were on display.

The guests also enjoyed the taigans, a national breed of hunting dog, hunting eagles, and traditional felt carpets called shyrdaks.

During the event, Sadyr Zhaparov presented Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe with a Kyrgyz musical instrument, the komuz, and treated him to traditional ethnic drinks.

The cultural program continued with a performance of an excerpt from the Manas epic, after which the Kaibar, Shattyk, and Akmaral folk ensembles performed Kyrgyz folk and world music, as well as national dances.

Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Togolese Republic, arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic for an official visit.
