Bishkek, Aug. 14, 2026 /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov has confirmed his intention to run in the upcoming presidential election. He made the statement during an interview with Kyrgyz journalist Ali Toktakunov.
The president emphasized that all candidates wishing to take part in the election would be provided with the necessary conditions to participate freely.
According to Zhaparov, the authorities will not create any obstacles or restrictions for potential candidates, and the electoral process will be conducted fairly and transparently.
“The path is open to everyone. Anyone who wants to run is free to do so. We will not restrict anyone. There will be no obstacles or attempts to hinder anyone. The election will be absolutely clean,” Zhaparov said.
