Bishkek, June 17, 2025. / Kabar /. Today, as part of a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov spoke at the Second Central Asia-China Summit in Astana.
The summit aims to exchange views on the entire spectrum of issues of interaction between the countries of Central Asia and China. The event was attended by Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
In his speech, the head of state noted that Central Asia and China are linked by historical, trade and cultural ties that go back centuries. He emphasized that, thanks to joint efforts, a great deal has been done to strengthen friendship and good neighborliness, establish and develop strategic partnership.
Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that over the past two years, this format has been filled with practical content, new initiatives and directions.
"We consider today's format of our meeting, first of all, another opportunity to give new impetus to strengthening our ties in all areas of mutual interest," the head of state emphasized with satisfaction.
The President outlined six key areas for further deepening the strategic partnership with China: transport and transit connectivity, energy, finance and e-commerce, education and science, tourism, and security.
In conclusion, President Sadyr Zhaparov quoted the words of the great writer Chyngyz Aitmatov: “Peace begins with how you live with your neighbor. And if there is respect in your heart, borders disappear.
There is no other person’s grief, no other person’s misfortune. We live next to each other not by chance, but by historical and spiritual necessity.”
