Bishkek, Aug. 22, 2025 /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov today, August 22, held talks with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in a narrow format as part of his official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The press service of the head of state said that a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, as well as prospects for developing cooperation, were discussed.
President Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the history of the Kyrgyz and Kazakh peoples has deep roots.
"Our relations are linked by the path laid by our great ancestors - Toktogul and Abai, Chingiz and Mukhtar. We consider our main task to be to pass on to future generations the legacy that history has left us, without letting it rust or gather dust," said the President of Kyrgyzstan.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked for the warm hospitality and expressed confidence that this visit would give a new impetus to the development of friendly relations between the two countries.
"Kazakhs and Kyrgyz are fraternal peoples. We have a common history, and our traditions and worldview are similar. Since time immemorial, the two peoples have lived in the foothills of Ala-Too in peace and harmony. And today our interaction is developing dynamically in the spirit of strategic partnership.
We have strengthened the political dialogue at all levels, based on mutual respect. Interstate, interparliamentary, intergovernmental councils are functioning successfully, interregional relations have been established.
Strong multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan is a confirmation that our relations are growing stronger every year,” the President of Kazakhstan noted.
At the end of the meeting, the heads of state confirmed their commitment to further deepening Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations in all areas of mutual interest in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance.
