Bishkek, Aug. 31, 2025. /Kabar/. Today, August 31, as part of a working visit to the People's Republic of China, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping in Tianjin.

The leaders of the two countries held a substantive exchange of views on key issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda, including the prospects for cooperation within the SCO, the development of logistics infrastructure, improving the efficiency of border checkpoints, as well as deepening financial, cultural, humanitarian, trade, economic and investment cooperation.

Xi Jinping welcomed Sadyr Zhaparov, noting that since the beginning of the year the parties have held two meetings at which they defined plans for the development of bilateral relations and reached a broad mutual understanding on cooperation issues.

The Chinese leader congratulated Sadyr Zhaparov and the Kyrgyz people on Independence Day, wishing the country prosperity and well-being. He expressed readiness to deepen the coordination of development strategies and move together along the path of modernization.

President Sadyr Zhaparov expressed gratitude to Xi Jinping and the Chinese government for their continued attention to Kyrgyzstan since the first days of independence and for their ongoing assistance in developing the country's economy.

He noted that all agreements reached during Sadyr Zhaparov's state visit to China and the June meetings in Kazakhstan are being consistently implemented, which opens the way to new significant achievements in the development of bilateral relations, friendship and good-neighborliness.

In this context, Sadyr Zhaparov invited Xi Jinping to make a state visit to Kyrgyzstan in 2026, expressing confidence that new successes in cooperation will be the symbolic crown of this visit.

During the meeting, the head of state acquainted the Chinese side with a number of major investment projects being implemented in Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, the PRC Chairman expressed his readiness to encourage Chinese companies to implement them, in particular in projects to create a special financial and investment territory "Tamchy" and a tourist complex "Ala-Too Resort".

The parties expressed their commitment to further developing strategic cooperation based on mutual trust and respect, for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.

Thus, following the meeting, a number of documents were signed:

Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of China on the provision of gratuitous assistance;

Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of China on conducting a feasibility study for the project "Construction and technical equipment of the Bedel automobile checkpoint", concluded through an exchange of letters;

Protocol between the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China on inspection, quarantine and sanitary requirements for dried fruits exported from the Kyrgyz Republic to the People's Republic of China;

Letter of Agreement between the Bishkek District Control Center of the State Enterprise "Kyrgyzaeronavigatsia" under the State Civil Aviation Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Urumqi District Control Center of the Xinjiang Air Traffic Management Bureau of the State Civil Aviation Administration of China;

Letter of Intent on the provision of a preferential loan to finance the share of the Kyrgyz Republic in the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project;

Memorandum on the establishment of sister city relations between Chui Region (Kyrgyz Republic) and Gansu Province (People's Republic of China);

Memorandum of Understanding between the State Agency for Civil Service and Local Self-Government under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Agency for International Cooperation and Development of the People's Republic of China on strengthening cooperation in the field of human resources development;

Protocol of Intent on jointly holding humanitarian exchange events between the National Broadcasting Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the China Media Corporation;

Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of news between the National Broadcasting Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Xinhua News Agency of the People's Republic of China;

Memorandum of Understanding between the Center for Standardization and Metrology under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzstandard) and the State Administration of Market Supervision and Regulation of the People's Republic of China (SAMR).
