Bishkek, May 23, 2026. /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov held a telephone conversation today with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
According to the press service of the Presidential Administration, the two presidents discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-Tajik cooperation in a friendly atmosphere, as well as prospects for further strengthening bilateral relations in the spirit of good-neighborliness, mutual understanding, and friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
The positive dynamics of Kyrgyz-Tajik cooperation in key areas were noted with satisfaction.
The heads of state noted the importance of continuing the practical implementation of previously reached interstate agreements and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further deepening political dialogue, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation.
Continuing their conversation, the heads of state reviewed the schedule of upcoming high-level meetings, including in multilateral formats.
Particular attention was paid to the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit, which will be held in Bishkek under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The presidents also exchanged views on specific issues on the international and regional agenda.
Following the telephone conversation, the heads of state reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Kyrgyz-Tajik relations based on the principles of mutual respect, trust, and support.
