Sadyr Zhaparov meets Irakli Kobakhidze at Yntymak Ordo

Bishkek, June 12, 2026 /Kabar/. The meeting between Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has begun at the Yntymak Ordo Palace.

The parties are discussing the further development of bilateral relations, focusing on promising areas of cooperation in trade and economics, transport, logistics, tourism, education, culture, and investment.

Addressing the head of the Georgian government, Sadyr Zhaparov praised his visit and called it a new stage of bilateral cooperation. He also noted that he views Georgia as a reliable partner with whom Kyrgyzstan has a long-term relationship.

According to the president, diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Georgia were established in 1992. Over 34 years, these relations have evolved into enduring relations based on friendship, constructive dialogue, and mutual support.

"I am confident that this visit will provide a powerful impetus for further deepening the political dialogue between our countries, expanding trade and economic ties, and elevating cultural and humanitarian cooperation to a new level. Our countries can also exchange experiences in the context of ongoing government reforms," ​​the head of state said.

Furthermore, following the meeting, the signing of a package of bilateral documents aimed at strengthening the legal framework and practical cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Georgia is expected.

As a reminder, the Georgian Prime Minister arrived in Kyrgyzstan yesterday. He was met at Manas International Airport by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev.

This is the first official visit by a Georgian head of government to Kyrgyzstan since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
