Bishkek, May 5, 2025. /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov met today with head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in Cholpon-Ata to participate in the IX meeting of the Steering Committee of the program for the conservation of the snow leopard and its ecosystems.

The presidential administration reported that issues of deepening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan in the economic, environmental and cultural-humanitarian spheres were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects, the development of industrial cooperation, strengthening tourism ties, as well as interaction in the field of environmental protection and the conservation of the snow leopard - a symbol of the Turkic peoples.

Sadyr Zhaparov warmly welcomed Rustam Minnikhanov, noting the dynamic development and strengthening of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan in the spirit of the Kyrgyz-Russian strategic partnership.

The head of state emphasized that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to issues of nature conservation, environmental protection, climate sustainability and biodiversity conservation. In this context, he expressed interest in implementing joint environmental and scientific projects with Tatarstan.

In turn, Rustam Minnikhanov supported the announced initiatives and noted the need to further deepen cooperation in the field of ecology, climate sustainability and biodiversity.

He recalled the Kazan Resolution adopted in March of this year, aimed at developing international cooperation in this area.

Rustam Minnikhanov also paid special attention to strengthening bilateral ties between Tatarstan and Kyrgyzstan. During the conversation, he expressed interest in expanding economic, cultural and scientific partnership, emphasizing the importance of launching joint business missions, implementing digital projects and educational initiatives. In addition, the head of Tatarstan noted the readiness to contribute to the creation of favorable conditions for the stay and work of citizens of Kyrgyzstan. In conclusion, the parties emphasized that the results of the meeting will give a new impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation and the deepening of interregional ties within the framework of Kyrgyz-Russian interaction.
